The basic principle of rewards
How to prepare canine rewards does not differ much from the food cooked for your family members. As you will see in this video, you will notice that common ingredients and utensils that you have already purchased for the kitchen are being used!
Vegetable biscuits for dogs
Ingredients:
- 2 cups white flour
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 cup fat-free milk
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley or 2 tablespoons fresh, chopped parsley
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup cold water – enough to create a sticky dough
First, preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Then you can grease two trays with oil, using baking paper. Take this step to avoid sticking cookies.
Then mix the flour, parsley, oats, salt and milk. Add the peanut butter and eggs until you get the desired paste. Add water and the composition will become more sticky. When the dough is ready, use the batter until it becomes thin enough.
Now you can cut it into whatever shape you want. Knead the dough left after cutting and roll it out again with the blender to enjoy the whole resulting composition.
If you want to get the shape of a cookie, squeeze the dough into a fist and form balls the size of a walnut. Put them in the tray and then press them.
Bake the molds for 40 to 60 minutes. The time is directly proportional to the thickness of the shapes. Take the tray out of the oven and you will discover some brown and appetizing biscuits! Make sure they cool down before you give them to the dog!
Rewards for dogs with peanut butter and bananas
Never forget this when you want to cook for your four-legged friend: most rewards may seem strange or disgusting to you, while your dog will be the one to know how to appreciate their true value. You cook for him, not for yourself, and tastes are not discussed!
Take this recipe as an example: in addition to bananas and peanut butter, parsley appears, which will give the cookies a greenish hue. The result is quite strange in appearance, but don’t forget who will serve them.
Ingredients:
- 1 peeled banana
- 2/3 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 cup dried parsley
- 1 beaten egg
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Put the peeled banana in a large bowl and pass it with a large spoon. Add the oats, oatmeal, peanut butter, parsley, and mix until smooth.
Consisting of 24 balls. About every ball will be the equivalent of a tablespoon of dough. Put the balls in a tray and use baking paper. Then press and flatten them with the palm of your hand or the bottom of a spoon.
Bake the cakes for 40-45 minutes until you get a brownish hue on the bottom. The dog can safely enjoy them after they have cooled down. You can keep them in the refrigerator or in a tightly closed box.
Peanut butter on a stick
Just because quadrupeds can’t tolerate lactose doesn’t mean they don’t deserve special treatment on hot summer days. This simple recipe allows you to offer your friend a delicious dessert, created right in your kitchen. All the better, you can give him the reward in a well-deserved dog toy.
Ingredients:
- A cup of peanut butter, preferably unsalted and unsweetened
- 1/2 ripe banana
- full water
Mix the peanut butter with a little water and mashed bananas. The recipe can be even simpler than using only peanut butter, but bananas and water will give the dessert more consistency after freezing.
Now the dog toy comes in. You can pour the composition into the shapes for the ice cubes or you can put it in a toy. In any case, leave either the stuffed toy or the cube shape to freeze for a few hours or even overnight.
Dog cookies with carrot and chia
Chia seeds have become more and more popular in recent years because they bring a lot of benefits to the body. Fortunately, the following recipe offers your dog the same benefits that consuming chickpeas will give you. Additionally, these treatments are a good way to “sneak” the carrot into the dog’s diet, being a very nutritious vegetable.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup universal flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1/3 cup almond butter
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 grated carrots
The first thing you need to do is heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Prepare a stretched tray and place a baking sheet on it.
Then mix the two types of flour with chia seeds and wheat germ in a medium-sized bowl. Combine almond butter like water, canola oil, and maple syrup and sprinkle over the grated carrot. Spoon the liquid mixture over the solid one while stirring until you get a homogeneous composition.
Knead the dough 6-7 times, then spread it on a surface over which you sprinkle flour. Cut the dough sheet with cookie cutters, place the molds in the pan and bake the biscuits for 35-40 minutes until they turn brown. Take out the tray, cool the biscuits and pamper your dog with a real delicacy!
Rewards for dogs with pumpkin, apple, and mint
As owners, we all know how annoying our dogs’ bad breath is. Consequently, we can add to the dog’s diet this creative recipe that fights bad breath. It contains mint, the main enemy of bad breath, along with other complex flavors!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup mashed pumpkin
- 3 cups wholemeal flour (more if needed)
- 2 eggs
- 1 grated apple
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley leaves
- 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
First, heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Then spread a baking sheet on a large tray.
Put the pumpkin and eggs in a bowl and mix them on a medium or high-speed mixer for 1-2 minutes, until the two ingredients are completely mixed. Add the flour little by little, until you have 2 and a half cups. Continue to stir while sprinkling the flour. If the resulting dough is still sticky, add another quarter cup of flour.
Once the dough becomes smooth and non-sticky, add the grated apple, parsley, and mint. Knead it until the new ingredients are in the composition. Transfer the dough to a flat surface dusted with flour and need it 3-4 times.
Take the dough and roll it out the dough until it becomes thin. Cut it using the cake tins. Take each piece of dough cut and place it on the tray you prepared. Put the tray in the oven and let the molds bake for 20-25 minutes until they are browned.
Take them out of the oven, leave them to cool, and wish your friend a “good appetite”!
